Data Pre-Processing and Signal Analysis of Tianwen-1 Rover Penetrating Radar

The Rover-mounted Subsurface Penetrating Radar (RoSPR) is one of the scientific payloads onboard China’s first independent Mars exploration mission, Tianwen-1. radar aims to characterize thickness upper Martian soil and investigate subsurface stratigraphy by collecting processing data. This article mainly divided into two parts, introduction data pre-processing analysis pre-processed signals, aiming at helping scientists make more effective use part describes operating principle RoSPR procedure all levels. Data designed transfer raw format a common PDS (Planetary System) eliminate influence instrument. In signal part, performances both self-check signals echo low- high-frequency channels are analyzed, which indicate stable system useful for background removal. Phase time calibration great importance improving quality making accurate. Moreover, further required obtain clear images, such as filtering, removal gain setting.
